Lassiter made quick work of Cherokee on Tuesday, clinching a state playoff berth and advancing to the semifinals of the Area 4AAAAAAA tournament with a straight-sets win (25-16, 25-14, 25-20).
The Lady Trojans (17-9) were hardly challenged, as they never trailed and were never tied later than 6-all.
“I was pleased,” Lassiter coach Greg Hodge said.”We made a couple adjustments, and I was happy we finished in three and were able to take care of a team you’re supposed to.”
